Talaqqi Lillah Terms of Use (draft)

Draft. The academy and its lawyer are still reviewing this text. The version you accept in the app is the one that applies.

Version: TODO(spec) · Effective: TODO(spec)

  1. The service.
    • Talaqqi Lillah offers free, private Quran classes with volunteer tutors, online and in person.
    • Classes are not guaranteed: tutors are volunteers and availability changes.
  2. Your account.
    • Use your own phone number and keep your PIN private. One account per person.
    • Under-18s need a parent's or guardian's consent.
    • Tutors and admins must be 18 or over.
  3. Behaviour. You agree to the Code of Conduct. We have zero tolerance for abusive, harassing, sexual, hateful or threatening content or behaviour. We may warn, restrict, suspend or remove anyone who breaks these terms or the Code of Conduct.
  4. Reports.
    • Report any concern in the app. We aim to review every report within 24 hours.
    • Reports alone never suspend anyone automatically; an admin decides.
    • Knowingly false or coordinated reporting is a violation of these terms.
  5. Automated access.
    • You may not scrape, crawl, copy in bulk, or access the service by any automated means.
    • You may not try to get around its security or rate limits, or make several accounts to get around a restriction.
  6. Content.
    • You keep ownership of what you upload: your recordings and profile.
    • You let the academy use it only to run the service: reviews, verification and safety.
    • The Quranic text in the app is supplied by the academy and is never altered by the system.
  7. Classes in person. Meet only for booked classes, at the address given for the class. For under-18s, follow your guardian's instructions.
  8. Ending.
    • You can delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy).
    • We may close accounts that break these terms.
  9. Liability. TODO(spec), a limitation of liability suitable for a free, volunteer service, drafted by the academy's lawyer.
  10. Law. TODO(spec), the governing law and venue (Nigeria, subject to mandatory consumer protections where you live).
  11. Changes. The apps ask you to accept new versions before you continue.
